Board SystemIn 2002, Zenkyoren introduced the following board system to deal with rapid changes in the business environment, to respond to a wide range of businesses and, most importantly, to reect the opinions and feedback of agricultural cooperatives more adequately.Zenkyoren’s Approach to ComplianceIn advancing its approach to compliance, Zenkyoren has assigned a Compliance Ofcer (President of the Board of Directors) and established compliance departments, with the latter responsible for a range of activities from covering overall planning and proposals to adjustments and promotion.Furthermore, each prefectural headquarters has been assigned a Compliance Ofcer of Prefectural Headquarters (General Manager of the Prefectural Headquarters), with general managers and responsible managers posted at the departmental level.
